Bella Hadid shared a deeply personal and emotional moment as she witnessed her Malibu mansion where she grew up “reduced to ashes” due to the devastating Los Angeles wildfires. The 28-year-old supermodel took to Instagram on Thursday, January 9, to post photos of the destruction of the house her mother, Yolanda Hadid, once owned. One particular image showed the raging flames engulfing her bedroom. Bella captioned it, “Childhood bedroom,” as smoke and fire consumed the structure.
The once-luxurious mansion, previously featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (RHOBH), was surrounded by charred palm trees and scorched foliage, now reduced to rubble. Bella also shared a haunting aerial shot of the property, revealing collapsed walls and ceilings with only fragments of the estate still standing, reports People.
In her other Instagram Stories, Bella included a heartfelt plea for her followers to support organisations on the front lines, such as the Los Angeles Fire Department and the LAFD Foundation.
The Malibu mansion, known as the Carbon Canyon Estate, reportedly played a significant role in Bella and her sister Gigi Hadid’s childhood. Yolanda Hadid and her ex-husband David Foster purchased the property in 2007 for $4.5 million and took on an extensive two-year renovation to transform it into a stunning European villa-style home.
This home was more than just a place to live — it was a hub for glamour and entertainment, often seen on RHOBH during Yolanda’s time on the show. Icons like Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Kim Richards, and Brandi Glanville graced its halls during Yolanda’s extravagant parties, reports People.
The devastating wildfires sweeping through Los Angeles have left hundreds of homes in ruins, including those of some of Hollywood’s most notable stars. Celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis, Mandy Moore, Adam Brody, Eugene Levy, Anthony Hopkins, Billy Crystal, Miles Teller, Keleigh Teller and Anna Faris are among those who have suffered the loss of their residences.
The Palisades Fire alone has scorched more than 17,234 acres, destroying over 1,000 structures in its path. With no containment in sight, it has become one of the most catastrophic wildfires in Los Angeles’ history, leaving a trail of destruction that has shaken the city to its core.
