Elephant herd causes panic on Tirumala ghat road

A herd of elephants was on Thursday spotted near the seventh mile on the Tirumala ghat road, creating panic among motorists and pilgrims. The unexpected movement of elephants close to the road caused fear and confusion among motorists as well as pilgrims trekking to the temple town.

Forest officials were alerted immediately and efforts are under way to guide the herd back into the forest. Authorities advised caution for those traveling on the ghat road and requested cooperation to ensure the safety of both the animals and the public.
