Grok 3 AI model has finally launched but you need the X Premium plan to try out the new powerful AI chatbot.

The big AI battle gets another iteration this week as Elon Musk’s AI startup has released the new Grok AI 3 model. Musk has previously talked about using 10x more computing power than the Grok 2 AI model to train the newest version and its results will most certainly make a difference to the final output for the users.

Grok 3 has been in development for several months and was earlier expected to release in late 2024 but it seems Musk and Co. decided to wait it out a little longer.

Grok 3 AI Model Release: What It Offers

Musk confirmed the Grok 3 series has multiple versions; Grok 3 and the Grok 3 mini. The company is not fully ready with all the features for the Grok 3 AI model and some of them are even in beta phase so the new version has limited tools available from day one this week.

But what does Grok 3 offer and how does it compete with ChatGPT 4 and Gemini AI? xAI has claimed that Grok 3 beats GPT 4o in benchmarks which offers analytical and scientific problems. The chart also suggests Grok 3 is head and shoulders above all the AI models available in the market.

Grok 3 even has a reasoning model which promises accurate facts and the ability to correct its own mistakes using its training datasets. Grok 3 is limited to the X Premium+ subscribers for the time being, and some of the new abilities come under a new SuperGrok plan that will cost $30 (Rs 2610 approx) per month.

The Grok AI app is listed on the Play Store for Android users and you can pre-register for the app before it goes live and get it automatically installed when it is available. We have already seen Grok AI run on the web, giving people another alternative to ChatGPT and Google for its AI applications. The Elon Musk-owned platform and AI company is hoping to appeal to more users who can try out the Grok AI chatbot and its features for free.

Like we have said before, users don’t need an X account to use Grok on the web or the iOS app. When users click the “Sign In” button, they have the option to log in using Google or email or link their X account.
