Ex-Met Police officer David Carrick denies multiple sex offences

A former Met Police officer has denied eight sex offences against a woman and a girl.

David Carrick, from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, is accused of two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault and one count of coercive and controlling behaviour against a woman between 2014 and 2019 in Stevenage.

He is also charged with five counts of indecent assault against a girl under 14 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, between 1989 and 1990, when he was a teenager.

Appearing at the Old Bailey, in London, the former firearms officer entered a not guilty plea for all of the charges.

Mr Carrick had previously appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court via video link, where he spoke only to confirm his name and age and no pleas were entered.

He has previously served with the Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command within the Metropolitan Police.
