PM Modi praised the movie on social media saying that due to ‘Sabarmati Files’ the truth is finally out.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the makers of Sabarmati Report for helping dispel ‘fake narratives’.

He took to social media to praise the makers of the movie for bringing the truth to the fore.

Modi’s praise for the movie came through a repost of a tweet originally shared by Alok Bhatt, who praised the film in his post. “Well said,” the PM commented the X user’s original post.

“It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!” he further added.

Starring Vikrant Massey, Raashii Khanna, and Ridhi Dogra, the Sabarmati Report is a drama-thriller movie centred on the 2002 Godhra train burning incident in Gujarat, which claimed 59 lives.

Vikrant Massey, who played the role of a journalist in the movie, spoke about the challenges of being associated with the film, sharing, “I have been receiving threats. Without drawing attention to it, it is something which I am dealing with and we, as a team, collectively are dealing with,” as reported by PTI.

News18 Showsha in its review of the cinema said: “Khanna and Massey together carry the film on their shoulders and take it to another level where it gains pace, keeping you on the edge of your seat; the dialogues will surely receive applause and some whistles. Along with the power-packed dialogues, the film strums a patriotic chord with the music and background score. As much as the film showcases the reported truth of the Sabarmati Report, it also balances out the fact that it talks about the brotherhood among communities within our country”.
