Google Could Allow Gemini AI To Edit Files Using Voice Commands: All Details – News18

Google is adding new tools to the Gemini AI chatbot which will be further enhanced by the voice mode.
Google continues to give Gemini AI more powers to make it more useful for millions of people. The tech behemoth is reportedly working on enabling Gemini Live support for files uploaded to Gemini. Users may only communicate with this type of information through text at the moment, but voice chats may soon be an option.
A report regarding the new Gemini feature was published by Android Authority. During the APK teardown of the Google app beta version 15.45.33.ve.arm64, the publication found proof of the feature. According to reports, several code snippets hint at the creation of this new Gemini Live feature.
The strings emphasise terms like “Open Live,” “Talk about attachment,” and “Open Live with attachment.” In this case, the terms “Live” and “attachments” probably relate to Gemini Live and the files that users post, respectively.
With this feature, users may be able to discuss their uploaded spreadsheets and documents via Gemini Live, something that isn’t currently feasible. Because they will not be restricted to the Gemini interface, users will find it easier to seek insights from papers that include a lot of text.
However, it is not anticipated that every user will have access to the feature. The facility to submit files to Gemini and pose enquiries about them is currently restricted to Gemini Advanced subscribers. Meanwhile, Gemini Live support is therefore thought to be exclusive to premium users who use Android devices because it isn’t accessible online. The Google One AI Premium subscription, which costs Rs 1,950 per month, is notable in how users may sign up for Gemini Advanced.
Earlier this year, the company originally announced Gemini Live at the Google I/O event. In August, the IT giant made it available to its premium members for the first time. The following month, it was made available to all Android users. Hindi and eight regional Indian languages are also supported via the voice-based two-way communication capability.
