Google is expected to launch the new Pixel 9a phone in the next few weeks and buyers could have some exciting reasons to pick it up.

Google Pixel fans have reason to celebrate as the tech giant prepares to unveil the much-anticipated Pixel 9a, the latest addition to the affordable A-series. The new smartphone is expected to launch globally with pre-orders beginning on March 19 as per reports.

Ahead of its official release, a fresh leak reported by Android Headlines suggests Google will offer free subscriptions to several premium services to enhance and appeal to those keen on buying the Pixel 9a phone. The report says Pixel 9a buyers will get a six-month free subscription to Fitbit Premium along with three months of YouTube Premium and 100GB of Google One storage at no additional cost.

These offers align with what Google previously provided with the Pixel 9 series. The Pixel 9a will not include the Google One 2TB+ AI plan and users will have to pay separately for any Gemini Advanced features.

Pixel 9a Expected Features

The Pixel 9a is rumoured to come with Tensor G4, the same chipset powering the flagship Pixel 9 series. The smartphone is likely to feature a 6.3-inch Actua display with 2,700 nits peak brightness and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. You could get it with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample space for users.

With these exciting features and exclusive subscription perks, the Pixel 9a is set to be a compelling option for budget-conscious buyers looking for a premium smartphone experience.

The Pixel device will reportedly feature a dual rear camera setup that offers a 48MP primary sensor and a 13MP ultra wide lens. Google could pack the phone with a 5,100mAh battery that supports 23W wired and 7.5W wireless charging speeds. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68 dust and water resistance.

It will run Android 15 out of the box and will be supported for seven years with software and security updates.

The Pixel 9a is likely to be priced at $499 (Rs 43,600 approx) for the base 128GB model, while the 256GB model could be priced at $599 (Rs 52,400 approx).
