Hansika Motwani Shares Witty Note For Brother Amid Sister-In-Law’s Domestic Abuse Charges – News18

Hansika Motwani’s former sister-in-law filed a domestic violence case against her family.

Actress Hansika Motwani has been in the news after her sister-in-law, actress Muskan Nancy James, filed a police complaint against the family, accusing them of domestic violence. The latter even accused Hansika and her mother, Mona Motwani, of sabotaging her marriage with her husband, Prashant Motwani. The Motwani family has continued to maintain their silence on this complaint.

However, Hansika’s recent social media post seemed like a subtle dig at her former sister-in-law. On Friday, January 10, the Koi Mil Gaya actress shared a series of pictures on her Instagram account to commemorate her brother’s birthday. In the photos, the brother-sister duo was seen enjoying a trip to New York. They were seen seated in front of a statue and taking a train. The last slide of her carousel featured a picture of the two from some festival.

Sharing the pictures, Hansika wished her brother on his birthday, mentioning that he would make wiser choices this year so that she would not get “bashed.” She wrote, “Happy birthday bhaiya. thank you being you love you !!! Keep protecting and annoying me. hopefully this year you will be wiser so that I don’t get bashed up for your life decisions (sic).”

As per media reports, Hansika Motwani’s former sister-in-law filed an FIR on December 18 at Amboli Police Station. She accused Prashant Motwani of domestic violence and also named the actress and her mother in the case. Muskan also accused them of fraudulent activities involving property and alleged that the three would often demand expensive gifts and money from her.

Muskan and Prashant tied the knot in 2020, and two years later, they called it quits. The television actress, in her complaint, claimed that Hansika and her mother’s interference in their marriage led to its breakdown. She accused Prashant of abusive behaviour, which ultimately caused her to develop Bell’s Palsy, a condition characterised by temporary facial paralysis.

While speaking to ETimes about the case, Muskan confirmed that she has indeed filed an FIR, saying, “I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further.” The charges were filed under sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 34 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Muskan Nancy James is a known name in Indian television. She made her debut with Thodi Khushi Thode Gham and rose to popularity with her role in Mata Ki Chowki. Meanwhile, Hansika made her debut in showbiz as a child artist and was most recently seen in the Tamil film Guardian.
