IND vs NZ 1st Test Bengaluru Weather Update Day 4

The Bengaluru weather might spoil the party again when Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant take the field on Saturday morning.

Team India is fighting back after registering their lowest total in Tests in the subcontinent. The hosts were bundled out for 46 as the Bengaluru Test began with a one-day rain delay. The overcast conditions tricked India as they suffered a horrific collapse after opting to bat first. Following the debacle, the Indian skipper took the blame on himself while addressing the press conference after the conclusion of the second day’s play.

Coming to the second inning, India seem to be in a comfortable spot with just 125 runs behind New Zealand’s first-innings lead of 366 runs. However, the Bengaluru weather might spoil the party again when Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant take the field on Saturday morning.

The morning session on day 4 will witness overcast conditions as Accuweather.com predicts a 100% cloud cover in the morning. However, the positive indication is there are very less chances of rain – 13%.

The sky is expected to get clear in the evening time with no signs of rain. The cloud cover would reduce to 78% with a 9-percent probability of precipitation. However, the humidity would be on the higher side.

A counter-attacking India kept alive the hopes of a miracle turnaround through free-flowing fifties from the troika of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Sarfaraz Khan, reaching 231 for three in their second innings on the third day of the first Test against New Zealand.

The largest deficit India had overturned to win a Test in their cricketing history was 274 during the iconic Kolkata Test against Australia in 2001. Such an epic is still some distance away, but hopes will be flickering after the day’s effort with the bat.
