India vs England, 1st ODI Live Cricket Score:

England won the toss and opted to bat first in the first ODI against India taking place at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana are set to make their debut while Virat Kohli misses out due to an injury he picked up yesterday.

After an impressive triumph in the five-match T20I series, India will aim to continue their home domination over England as they now host them for three ODIs starting today (February 6) with Nagpur the first of three venues. It will be the first ODI series at home for Rohit Sharma’s men since the 2023 ODI World Cup. Between the global tournament and the England series, India have played just one ODI series – against Sri Lanka in August last year which they lost 0-2 after the series opener ended in a controversial tie.

The likes of Rohit and Virat Kohli return to action at the international level having last featured for India during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Mohammed Shami will also be playing in his first ODI series since the 2023 world cup having recently made his international comeback following a long injury layoff. Jasprit Bumrah will not be play in at least the first two games with the Indian team waiting on the result of a scan which could also decide whether the pace spearhead makes the cut for the upcoming Champions Trophy.
