iPhone SE 4 launch is expected this week and Apple could have some big upgrades to get people excited for the new model.

Apple is going to do a new thing this year, launch a new product in February which is unlike the company. The iPhone SE 4 is rumoured to be the big news for this week’s event which is likely to be pre-recorded at the Apple centre and live streamed across the globe on Wednesday, February 19.

The company’s teaser does say, newest member of the family, which could imply the SE 4 joining the iPhone SE series, or could we see the brand make a big change to its affordable iPhone model?

iPhone SE 4 Or iPhone 16E: Could Apple Do It?

We have heard the rumours about the iPhone 16E rebrand earlier this year, and with the amount of changes expected with the new iPhone model, the new name might not shock us at all. As you might recall, Apple wanted a new iPad model in its lineup to go along with the regular and the Mini versions, so it launched the iPad Air variant.

Who is to say that Apple doesn’t have a similar plan in mind for the iPhone SE 4 and make it part of the current iPhone 16 series family itself.

The teaser from Cook shows the Apple logo in a gradient tone with waves which feels like the back panel of the new iPhone model, the SE 4 in this case. It could also be the first clear hint that the iconic Home button is going away for good, and the new SE model will feature Face ID for security.

These upgrades for the SE series and the reported features make it almost the iPhone 16-lite model, probably why Cook is calling it the newest member of the iPhone (16) family.

The new iPhone SE is tipped to have a single camera at the back which could still be at par with some of the premium Android phones. The device could pack a smaller battery and support lower charging speed to help keep it in the pocketable range of around Rs 50,000 in the market.
