People around the world celebrated the arrival of 2025 in their own unique ways. While some opted for lavish parties, others kept it simple, enjoying quiet moments with their families. Many also chose to start the year with a getaway, spending quality time with loved ones. Comedian and actor Kapil Sharma, too, welcomed the new year with his family. The family of four headed off to an undisclosed location for a peaceful retreat.

Kapil, who prefers to keep his family out of the spotlight, shared a fun moment on his Instagram Stories. In the video, the comedian is seen enjoying an adventurous quad bike ride on rugged terrain, with trees lining both sides. It appears that his wife, Ginni Chatrath, was riding behind him on another bike. True to his humorous nature, Kapil added the iconic “Dhoom Machale” tune to the clip.

Before ringing in the new year, Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath marked a special milestone — their sixth wedding anniversary on December 12. The couple received warm wishes and love from friends and family, but it was a video shared by Kapil that truly captured their love story. In the clip, the couple could be seen dancing to an upbeat Punjabi folk song, wrapped in winter clothes. Their smiles and infectious energy were proof of their happiness. Sharing the video, Kapil wrote, “Happy anniversary to us.”

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath’s love story began during their college days, and the couple tied the knot in December 2018. A year later, they welcomed their daughter, Anayra, and in 2021, they became parents again with the arrival of their son, Trishaan.

On the work front, Kapil was recently seen in the Netflix comedy show, The Great Indian Kapil Show (TGIKS), which features fellow comedians like Sunil Grover, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek and Rajiv Thakur, alongside celebrity guests. The show premiered in March 2024, with the first season ending in June.

Following the success of the first season, TGIKS returned for a second season in September, wrapping up in December 2024. Among the latest guests were the cast of Baby John, including Varun Dhawan, Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, and director Atlee.

In addition to the show, Kapil was also seen in the heist comedy film Crew, which starred Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon.
