Mangalagiri temple Rathotsavam on March 14

The annual Rathotsavam of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple at Mangalagiri in Guntur district will be held from 3 p.m. on March 14 as part of the ongoing Brahmotsavam, which began on March 5.

The Rathotsavam will be preceded by Bangaru Garudotsavam at 6 a.m. the same day. Kalyana  Mahotsavam will be celebrated at midnight of March 13. Arrangements are being made for these festivities on a large scale. 

The processional idol of the presiding deity and His consorts will be taken in a procession on Chinna Sesha Vahanam and Simha Vahanam on March 10 and it will be followed by Hamsa Vahanam and Gaja Vahanam on March 11, Kalpavruksha Vahanam and Ponna Vahanam on March 12 and Aswa Vahanam on March 13. Mangalagiri MLA and Minister for IT Nara Lokesh welcomed the devotees to witness and participate in the festivities. The police have made tight security arrangements.
