Marco, the action-packed thriller starring Unni Mukundan, is making waves at the box office. Despite tough competition from Viduthalai Part 2 and UI, the film has raked in Rs 35.75 crore across all languages in India within just 10 days of its release, according to Sacnilk.com. Directed by Haneef Adeni, Marco has received positive reviews, particularly for its gripping and intense action sequences, which have drawn comparisons to the 2023 action film Animal starring Ranbir Kapoor. Amid its successful run at the box office, reports suggest that a major streaming platform has acquired the digital rights to Marco, signalling its upcoming OTT debut.

According to sources, Marco is set to stream on Netflix in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, 45 days after its theatrical release. This points to a potential OTT release by the end of January 2025 or early February 2025, though an official release date is yet to be confirmed.

Additionally, the OTT version of Marco is expected to feature a longer runtime, with additional scenes and content that were cut from the theatrical release.

The film is a spin-off of the 2019 film Mikhael, and it focuses solely on the villain, Marco. It also stars Kabir Duhan Singh, Durva Thaker, Anson Paul, Arjun Nandakumar, Yukti Tareja, Abhimanyu Shammy Thilakan, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Jagadish and Riyaz Khan.

Unni Mukundan is also enjoying fans’ positive response to his performance in the film.

Marco has also created history as the highest-grossing A-rated Malayalam film, surpassing the box office records of the 2016 film, Kammatipaadam.

Mukundan will be next seen in the upcoming Malayalam comedy-drama film, Get-Set Baby, alongside Nikhila Vimal, Chemban Vinod, Surabhi Lakshmi, Johny Antony, Sudheesh and Dinesh Prabhakar. Helmed by Vinay Govind, the film is slated to hit the big screens in 2025.
