Devoleena Bhattacharjee recently took a stroll down memory lane and recalled her Saath Nibhaana Saathiya days with her close friend and actress Bhavini Purohit. The latter took to Instagram and posted a throwback picture with the newest mommy in town on her stories. The snapshot features the two posing for the camera as they stand close to each other. “Old memories. #saathiya,” the post caption reads.

In the picture, Bhavini could be seen donning a bright red saree, while Devoleena wore a black t-shirt paired with blue shorts and slippers. The Bigg Boss 13 fame also re-shared the picture in her stories.

Devoleena and Bhavini shared screen space for years in the daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya, where the former played the iconic character of Gopi Bahu which shot her to immense fame, while Bhavini played Radha Kapadia.

The show, which got Devoleena several awards, premiered on Star Plus from 2010 to 2017 and received much appreciation from the audiences.

Meanwhile, Devoleena is currently enjoying the best phase of her life, motherhood. The actress welcomed her first child, a baby boy with her husband Shanawaz Shaikh on December 18 this year.

Announcing the baby’s arrival on social media, the actress shared an adorable post that read, “Thrilled to announce the arrival of our bundle of joy, our baby boy 18.12.2024. elated parents, Devoleena and Shanwaz.”

The post caption reads, “Hello world! Our little angel BOY is here 18.12.2024.”

Devoleena got married to Shanawaz Shaikh, who is a gym trainer in December 2022. It was a court marriage in Lonavala with just close friends in attendance. The couple announced the pregnancy in August this year.

The actress is an avid social media user and often shares insights from her personal and professional life on social media. Recently, she dropped a hilarious video with her husband. In the clip, the duo could be seen sipping on a drink while audio runs in the background and says, “Humare desh me patni apne pati ko hi sab kuch manti hai, sirf kehna nahi manti (In our country, the wife considers her husband everything, but she just doesn’t listen to him).

Meanwhile, on the work front, Devoleena has also appeared in several big shows including Saware Sabke Sapne…Preeto, Laal Ishq, Ladies Vs Gentleman 2, Dil Diyaan Gallaan and also Salman Khan’s controversial reality show Bigg Boss 13. She was last seen in the drama show Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya wherein she played the role of Goddess Chhathi Maiyya.
