Nothing Phone 3a series will be unveiled early next month. And now, the brand has announced key camera parameters of what looks to be the Pro model in the lineup ahead of its much-anticipated launch. The phone will have a triple rear camera setup which will be a new addition for the company.
The layout of the camera unit has also been hinted at, in addition to its specifications, and the cameras seem to be placed in a weirder way than we have become used to with the company over the years.
The company has even dared to compare the photographic capabilities of its unreleased Phone 3a to the iPhone 16 Pro Max which is always going to be a tall ask. The upcoming device is tipped to feature a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 50MP periscope Sony sensor with OIS, and an 8MP ultra wide-angle shooter with a Sony sensor are reported to be included in the triple rear camera module.
For video calls and selfies, the phone will also feature a 50-megapixel front camera. Generally speaking, the camera can record a greater variety of light levels without losing details the higher the full well capacity.
Furthermore, the 50MP periscope lens of the Phone 3a series will have 3x optical zoom, 6x lossless zoom, and up to 60x“ultra”zoom, according to the video on YouTube. As per the company, this sensor also allows users to take macro zoom photos with a maximum magnification of 6x, which does away with the requirement for external macro lenses.
The Phone 3a series also has a camera with 4K video stabilisation. According to Nothing, it improves video stability by more than 200 percent, enabling 4K/30 frames per second video capture on the phone. Adaptive stabilisation is also included, which automatically evaluates the video to decide whether adjustments need to be made.
