Oppo is launching the Find N5 foldable later this week in China and it is going to be one of the thinnest in its segment.

Android phones and Windows have become increasingly compatible, with Microsoft consistently rolling out new features. However, some manufacturers believe there’s still room for improvement. Enter the Oppo Find N5, which is set to introduce advanced Mac integration. This is made possible through the Oppo Office Assistant, designed to leverage the N5’s foldable form factor.

When folded at a 90-degree angle, the device transforms into a mini laptop—its bottom half functions as a Mac keyboard, while the top half provides a live view of your Mac. With a simple drag and drop, you can instantly transfer files from your computer to the Find N5, making forgotten documents a thing of the past. Since the software essentially operates as a remote desktop, users can also perform more complex tasks seamlessly.

It goes without saying that Cupertino isn’t likely to break down its walled garden without Apple’s cooperation. Whether this feature will extend to other ColorOS 15 devices remains uncertain. The Oppo Find N5 is set to make its official debut on February 20.

That’s why we’ve developed a system for the #OPPOFindN5 to remotely control your Mac—enabling real-time file viewing and editing, enhancing your productivity, and ensuring smoother interaction between devices,” Pete Lau, founder and Chief Executive Officer of OnePlus posted on X (previously Twitter).

In a YouTube unboxing video, the Oppo Find N5 is seen being removed from its retail packaging, revealing the cover display and inner screen of the next smartphone. Particularly when unfurled, it seems to have an extremely thin body. Located in a centre-aligned camera island with the Hasselblad branding, the exterior camera setup is also visible.

Oppo Find N5 (Expected) Specifications

Some of the Oppo Find N5’s specifications have been confirmed by the company ahead of its February 20 debut in China and Singapore. It is going to be the first foldable phone to come with a Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU.

According to the company, it will have a 5,600mAh twin-cell battery that can stream videos for up to 24 hours on a single charge. Although the firm has not yet disclosed the Find N5’s dimensions, it is also far thinner than its predecessor.

In addition, DeepSeek-R1 integration is anticipated to be included with the smartphone, allowing for support for the DeepSeek chatbot. According to the company, users will be able to use the chatbot’s features to create photographs or ask questions on the Oppo Find N5. Whether DeepSeek will be accessible on the global Find N5 version is still unknown.
