The Kerala Retired High Court Judges’ Association has condemned the criminal case registered by the police against Munambam Judicial Commission C.N. Ramachandran Nair, its member and former judge of the Kerala High Court, in connection with the multi-crore corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds scam.
A resolution adopted at the special general body meeting of the association held here on Friday (February 14) accused the sub-inspector of police, Perinthalmanna, of “having grossly abused his official position by readily obliging the first informant or somebody else by falsely implicating Mr. Ramachandran Nair as an accused in the case.”
It added that even if all the allegations in the first information statement were taken as true, the same did not disclose any offence whatsoever against the former judge so as to rope him in as an accused in the case.
The meeting decided to bring the issue to the notice of the Advocate General of Kerala and the Director General of Prosecution.
