Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 teased officially, will unveil on November 5
- Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 will use the same 647 cc air-oil cooled engine which is seen on other 650 cc motorcycles.
Not that long ago, the Interceptor Bear 650 from Royal Enfield was leaked online. Now, the brand has officially released a teaser for the motorcycle on its social media. Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 will be unveiled on November 5. It is expected that the Interceptor Bear 650 will slot between the Interceptor and the Continental GT in the manufacturer’s lineup.
As of now, the launch date is not yet revealed but it can be expected that the Interceptor Bear 650 could launch at Motoverse this year. The teaser that the brand has released just shows a hint of the motorcycle along with an exhaust note.
Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650: Specs
Speaking of exhaust, the Interceptor Bear 650 will be the first 650 cc motorcycle to come with a 2-in-1 exhaust from Royal Enfield. The current 650 cc motorcycles have twin exhaust designs that weigh quite a lot so moving to a 2-in-1 setup should help in reducing the weight significantly. The engine will be the same 647 cc, parallel-twin unit that is air-oil cooled unit and uses a 270-degree crank. The gearbox continues will be a 6-speed unit that gets a slip-and-assist clutch.

The engine is known for its sweet note and having oodles of torque at any rpm in any gear. The gearbox is also quite slick along but the clutch is on the heavier side and there is also the infamous third gear failure issue. However, we hope that Royal Enfield has fixed the issue by now. For the Interceptor Bear 650, there is a possibility that Royal Enfield will use different sprocket sizes to tune the final drive.
Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650: Hardware
The chassis of the Interceptor Bear 650 will be shared with the Interceptor 650. However, there will be different suspension setup on offer that should provide more travel. There will be a upside down forks in the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Royal Enfield might collaborate with Showa for the precise tuning of the suspension system. As a scrambler, this motorcycle is equipped with spoked wheels and dual-purpose tyres.
There would be an LED headlamp on offer that is now seen on most Royal Enfield motorcycles. The headlamp does not offer the best illumination during nighttime. There will be turn indicators and a circular tail lamp at the rear. On the side, there is a new side panel.
