Samsung Galaxy S25 is not a very hidden secret anymore but even then we’re yet to hear the brand confirm the name and its existence. However, more leaks have come through recently, which even talks about the possible Galaxy S25 series launch date and that applies for markets like India as well. The new flagship phone is going to be Samsung’s bet against the Pixel 9 and the iPhone 16 series in the market, and the excitement is slowly building for its debut.

Reports from South Korea, which is Samsung’s home market, suggests the new Galaxy S25 series launch in 2025 could happen around January 22. If the date given here is true, then we could be looking at Samsung launching the new flagships a few weeks earlier than its usual timelines in the last few years. The date mentioned in the report is January 22 and 23 which is dependent on which country you are living in. It is likely that Samsung will launch its new flagships in the Indian market on January 22.

The new Galaxy S–series lineup is expected to have the usual Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra. Having said that, we have been hearing about the possible addition of the Galaxy S25 Slim model next year, which might probably happen later in 2025.

So why is Samsung looking for an earlier launch than before? Well, the first big reason could be the introduction of the Android 15-based One UI 7 version which has been delayed till early 2025. Samsung would definitely want the new premium phones to come with the new version out of the box, something that Google couldn’t manage with the Pixel 9 models this year.

Also, the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset will slowly be making its way to the market in the coming weeks, and the company would ideally want to be in the first few names to do that. Conflicting reports have talked about Samsung going with its Exynos SoC for the regular S25 phones, but we won’t be surprised to see the company opt for Qualcomm’s new flagship artillery.
