Samsung launched the new Galaxy S25 series recently and now the focus shifts to the next foldables from the company which could have some big upgrades.
The new Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 prices might not be different this year
Samsung is planning to expand the lineup of its flagship foldable phones with the launch of its new Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which are expected to arrive later this year. Ahead of its official launch, several leaks have been surfacing online about the upcoming devices suggesting the pricing and expected specifications of these devices.
According to tipster named PandaFlash, the Samsung Z Fold 7 is expected to get a Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC, similar to the recently launched Galaxy S25 series. As per the source, this processor would most likely be used in all global variations of the handset. The phone, along with the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip 7, was previously expected to be packed with the yet-unannounced Exynos 2500 chipsets.
Additionally, the tipster, while replying to a comment, stated that all Galaxy Z Fold 7 prototypes are now running Snapdragon 8 Elite chipsets. He shared that the speculated Exynos 2500 chip is “causing some production issues,” and that it may only be available on the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Moreover, talking about the storage capacity, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to be available in 256GB and 512GB storage options with support for 12GB of RAM. The former is also likely to arrive in a third 1TB storage variant.
On the imaging front, the Z Flip 7 could include a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor. It is also expected to include a 10MP front-facing camera on the inner folding screen, similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
As for the pricing, the upcoming models are expected to come with the same pricing as their predecessors. This indicates that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 could start at Rs 1,64,999, while the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could cost Rs 1,09,999 in India, as the 6th generation Z foldable phones were priced the same for the base variants.
Adding to this, Samsung is also expected to release a toned-down version of the Galaxy Flip 7 this year, likely dubbed the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. It could be a more affordable version of the upcoming foldable phones.
