Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will be the fourth model in the flagship series for the company and most likely going to rival the rumoured iPhone 17 Air model.

Samsung has finally unveiled its highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series lineup, which includes the S25, S25 Plus and the S25 Ultra once again. But the company had its own ‘one more thing’ moment by teasing a slimmer version of the S25 model called the Galaxy S25 Edge which is expected to arrive in May this year.

While Samsung is yet to officially reveal details about its new device, reports say the Galaxy S25 Edge will be slimmer than other models in the S25 lineup and also have less cameras than all of them.

The biggest surprise from the new teaser is that many expected Samsung to name the device as Galaxy S25 Slim which would showed us the link with its obvious dimensions. But going with the Edge moniker allows the company to bring back the memories for the fan boys. After all, Samsung had the Galaxy S edge model in its lineup many years ago, which actually offered an edge display.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Expected Features

The upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be 6.4mm in thickness, which means the device is likely to pack a smaller battery of around 4,000mAh. The teaser also tells us that the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a dual-rear camera setup. Having said that, the company is tipped to offer a 200MP primary sensor along with periscope lens.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to share the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as the other Galaxy S25 models. It should run the One UI 7 version, based on Android 15, delivering a seamless user experience.

Samsung is likely to price the Galaxy S25 Edge between the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra model, which means you are still looking at a Rs 1 lakh+ price tag for the device. Additionally, the device is expected to feature enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities, further boosting its appeal. Samsung is bringing the Galaxy S25 Edge as a rival to the rumoured iPhone 17 Air model which Apple could introduce later this year with the iPhone 17 series.
