Sony’s new PlayStation 5 Pro variant gets performance upgrades and a host of games with improved features.

Sony is offering a long list of free games

Sony unveiled its highly anticipated PlayStation 5 Pro earlier this month. Ahead of the official launch, the company had revealed in a blog post that over 50 games will feature enhancements for the PS5 Pro. Sony also stated that the list of games receiving graphics updates for the upgraded console is expected to grow even larger.

Games marked as “PS5 Pro Enhanced” will feature graphical advancements such as advanced ray tracing, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (AI-powered upscaling), and higher framerates of 60Hz or 120Hz, delivering a more immersive gaming experience.The list of enhanced games coming to the company’s most advanced gaming console includes:

The PlayStation 5 Pro was announced in September this year. It features the same 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU as the original PS5 model. However, it boasts improved RDNA graphics with 16.7 teraflops, compared to the PS5’s GPU with 10.28 teraflops.

Additionally, the PS5 Pro comes with 16GB of dedicated GDDR6 VRAM, along with 2GB of DDR5 RAM for the system. This represents a significant upgrade from the previous version, which featured a unified memory of 16GB shared between the CPU and GPU.

The PS5 Pro gets the same port options as the PS 5, which includes two USB Type-C, one USB Type-A port, Ethernet and HDMI connectors, as well as an expandable M.2 SSD storage slot.The PS5 Pro is priced $699 (Rs 58,900 approx), which is $300 more than the launch price of the PS5 Digital Edition in 2020.
