Teachers’ forum calls for change in higher secondary exam timings

The Higher Secondary School Teachers’ Association (HSSTA) has demanded that the Plus One and Plus Two higher secondary examinations be rescheduled to morning hours on days without SSLC examinations.

The higher secondary examinations will be held over a period of 18 days from March 3 to 29. Of these days, SSLC examinations are not scheduled for March 6, 11, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, and 29. The higher secondary examinations on these nine days should be shifted to the morning for the benefit of students and school authorities, the HSSTA said.

Crucial factors

The General Education department should consider the heat in the month of March, Ramzan fasting, and the fact that packing process after the examinations took a couple of hours at least and decide to change the exam timings, the HSSTA said.
