Clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly in the fray to land the French footballer. A report published by Football London claimed that Chelsea have been provided with a boost in a potential move for Tel, with prospects of his signing for Manchester United diminishing. The article went on to suggest that Manchester United emerged as the frontrunners for Tel on Sunday but negotiations between the Premier League giants and Bayern Munich stalled as a switch to Old Trafford reportedly seemed unlikely. It was claimed that the collapse of Tel’s potential move to Manchester United may open the door for Chelsea to complete the deal.

Football London suggested that a breakdown in transfer talks for Mathys Tel can result in Manchester United showing their interest in Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku. The report claimed that Manchester United have been linked with the French forward, with talks of a possible swap deal involving Alejandro Garnacho’s potential departure to Chelsea. The Athletic, however, claimed that a deal for Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku deal is not “being progressed.”

Transfer market specialist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Mathys Tel’s future still remains uncertain and there is a “strong interest in a potential last-minute deal.” Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano said, “All the clubs interested in Mathys Tel are still there calling and trying to understand what happens.
