Cristiano Ronaldo‘s £61 million private jet has reportedly been grounded at Manchester Airport due to a technical issue. The Bombardier Global Express 6500, which arrived in the city last week, remains stationed after a crack was discovered in one of its windows during a routine inspection, according to The Sun.

It is unclear whether Ronaldo was on board at the time of its arrival.

Engineers are now awaiting replacement parts to complete the necessary repairs. Until then, the aircraft will remain in Manchester.

Ronaldo, who now plays for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, purchased the luxurious airliner last year.

Earlier on February 14, Manchester Airport shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) where a matte black jet was captured standing on the runway. It featured the CR7 logo alongside an image of Ronaldo’s iconic “siuu” celebration.

After the clip went viral, many fans started speculating about the Portuguese superstar’s potential return to Manchester United for his third spell.

The Red Devils have struggled for goals this season. They have struck only 28 times in 25 Premier League games. Ruben Amorim’s side currently find themselves at the 15th spot in the league standings.

Only Ipswich Town and Southampton have registered fewer goals than Manchester United in this campaign.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo was seen in action for Al Nassr in their last Saudi Pro League fixture against Al-Ahli Saudi. The former Real Madrid man failed to make his presence felt in the away outing. His team, however, notched a dramatic 3-2 win. Jhon Duran netted a brace while Ayman Yahya scored the other goal.

Ronaldo did not feature in the AFC Champions League match against Persepolis FC which ended in a goalless draw. Al Nassr has already qualified for the next round.

Ronaldo is likely to return to action when the Riyadh-based side hosts Al Ettifaq for a league game on Friday, February 21.
