Actress Mrunal Thakur, who shot to fame with her role as Bulbul in the popular TV soap Kumkum Bhagya, recently reunited with her co-star Arjit Taneja, who played her love interest Purab. The unexpected reunion left the duo’s fans nostalgic. The pair crossed paths at Ektaa Kapoor’s Diwali bash last night.

The Sita Ramam actress posted a selfie with Kumkum Bhagya actor Arjit. In the photo, Mrunal is dressed in an intricately embroidered black outfit. She accessorised her look with a statement oxidised necklace and earrings. Meanwhile, Arjit was seen in a black kurta.

Mrunal posted the selfie with the text, “Rabul (an amalgamation of the names of their characters on Kumkum Bhagya)” on top of it. Meanwhile, Arjit reshared the picture on his IG handle with the caption, “Don’t use the F word.” Their playful exchange proved that the duo still share a great bond with one another despite moving separate ways due to their professional commitments.

Mrunal and Arjit bond and their on-screen chemistry have reportedly led many to speculate a romantic connection between the duo. However, they have maintained that they have been good friends. Previously, during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, the Kumkum Bhagya actor was asked to choose his crush from three names, and Mrunal was one of them.

He further explained that he chose her because she was his first co-star. When the host asked if he ever had a crush on her, he said that they were just friends. However, he did confess to having a crush on her at present.

On the work front, Mrunal made her big Bollywood break with Hrithik Roshan-led Super 30. Since then, she has acted in several Hindi films, including Jersey and Kalki 2898 AD.

Arjit is currently seen in the serial Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye.
