Mahindra BE 6 and the XEV 9e have created a lot of hype in the Indian market. Test drives for a few potential customers have already begun under Mahindra’s special program. Officially, the cars would start arriving on dealership floors by the end of January 2025 and deliveries are slated to begin between February and March 2025.
What are the prices of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e?
As of now, the prices of the base variant of the both electric SUVs have been unveiled. The BE 6 will start at ₹18.90 lakh whereas the XEV 9e will start at ₹21.90 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom and introductory. It is expected that the Mahindra will showcase the BE 6 and XEV 9e at the Bharat Mobility Globility Expo 2025. There is a possibility that the prices of the rest of the variants will be unveiled at the expo.

What are the battery packs on offer with the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e?
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e will be offered with a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh battery pack. The battery pack supports DC fast charging up to 175 kW so the battery can be topped up from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in just 20 minutes.
What is the claimed range of the Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e?
Mahindra claims that the BE 6 can go up to 535 km with its 59 kWh battery pack whereas the 79 kWh unit has a claimed range of 682 km. On the other hand, the XEV 9e has a claimed range of 542 km and 656 km with the 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs respectively.

What are the specifications of the electric motor of Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e?
The smaller battery pack will produce 230 bhp of max power in both models whereas the larger battery pack will produce 285 bhp. The torque output stays the same at 380 Nm. Mahindra will only sell the electric SUVs as rear-wheel drive for now. There will be three driving modes on offer – Range, Everyday and Race. Along with this, there would also be a Boost mode and One-pedal drive mode.
