Colors TV recently dropped the promo for Doree 2, where Priyanshi Yadav takes on the role of the adult Doree.

Priyanshi Yadav, known for her standout roles in popular TV shows like Pandya Store, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Ishqbaaaz and Kumkum Bhagya, is all set to join the second season of the much-loved drama Doree on Colors. The makers, Kinnari Mehta and Jay Mehtaa, are finalising the cast and Priyanshi has been roped in to play the female lead.

In a recent conversation with India Forums, Priyanshi expressed her excitement, stating, “It’s a great opportunity. I waited for nine months after Pandya Store, and I feel it was worth the wait. Everyone loved Doree Season 1.”

Colors TV recently dropped the promo for Doree 2, where Priyanshi Yadav takes on the role of the adult Doree. The teaser introduces her as a determined daughter, eager to fulfil her father’s unfulfilled dreams.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Colors TV captioned, “Apne Baba ke adhoore sapnon ko poora karne ke liye aa rahi hai Doree, phir se.”

Joining Priyanshi in the new season will be Karan Vohra, who is confirmed to play the male lead. Karan, known for his role as Aryaman Bundela in Main Hoon Saath Tere, will bring his charm to Doree Season 2. Fans can also expect the return of Amar Upadhyay as Ganga Thakur.

The first season of Doree was a massive hit with an ensemble cast that included Mahi Bhanushali, Amar Upadhyay, Sudha Chandran, Toral Rasputra, Anurag Sharma, Mehul Buch, Sonal Vengurlekar and others in key roles.

The show resonated with audiences due to its powerful narrative, focusing on the struggles of Doree, portrayed by Mahi Bhanushali, against the conservative Kailashi Devi Thakur (Sudha Chanddran) and its exploration of women’s rights and generational divides.

The first season had a successful run from November 2023 to June 2024. The makers have decided to continue the story with Season 2 focusing on a new chapter while wrapping up Doree’s childhood storyline. The second season will premiere on January 21 from 10:30 PM on Colors TV and Jio Cinema.

Priyanshi Yadav was last seen in Pandya Store, a family drama series that is an official adaptation of Star Vijay’s Tamil series Pandian Stores. Alongside Priyanshi, the show featured an ensemble cast that included Kinshuk Mahajan, Shiny Doshi, Akshay Kharodia, Kanwar Dhillon, Mohit Parmar, Alice Kaushik, Simran Budharup, Kruttika Desai and Rohit Chandel. The series was produced by Sunjoy Waddhwa and Commal Waddhwa under their production banner, Sphere Origins.
